The certified nurse-midwives at Taylor Regional Women for Women specialize in providing individualized care for all women. Their philosophy emphasizes care focused on the physical, social, and psychological condition of women ages 12 and up. Dr. Brende Lott, DNP, CNM, APRN and Dr. Alisha Morgan, DNP, CNM, APRN, are experts in normal pregnancy, medicated and unmedicated childbirth, postpartum care, benign gynecology, and contraception. Midwifery care is associated with lower incidences of cesarean sections, lower rates of labor induction and augmentation, and higher rates of breastfeeding.
Women with chronic or high-risk health problems can benefit from the care provided by certified nurse-midwives, however these patients are often seen in collaboration with Taylor Regional Women for Women physicians Dr. Susan Burress, MD, and Dr. Kimberly Frazier, MD. These dedicated
obstetrician/gynecologists specialize in caring for complex gynecologic and obstetric conditions as well as gynecologic surgery.
